DO Something

Host An Ubuntu Bracelet Party!

Dream Out Loud Productions would like to thank you for joining in to help raise funds for the Ubuntu Bracelet Campaign. The sale of the Ubuntu Bracelets will generate direct funding to provide treatment to parents, treatment for children school supplies, nutritional support, safety from violence, and secure shelter.

How Your Bracelet Party will help achieve change:

  • The DO Ubuntu Bracelet Campaign will focus on providing funding to orphanages like Botshabelo featured in the documentary film Angels in the Dust.
  • The DO is a grassroots effort that provides employment for those who have lost their families (and thus their means of support) to HIV/AIDS.
  • The DO Bracelets are a unique symbol of support, a distinguished and fashionable way for wearers to DO Ubuntu and to be a force for change.

How It Works

DOL manages the production of the individually handcrafted DO Ubuntu Bracelets in selected countries that are seriously impacted by the crisis. These countries will be a part of the campaign and benefit from them as producers of the Bracelets, starting with South Africa. DOL will guarantee quality control and quality product and will exchange or refund any bracelets that do not meet customer standards.

We have put together a downloadable Ubuntu Bracelet Party Kit [COMING SOON – PLEASE CHECK BACK] to help you plan your fundraiser, including minimum order requirements, suggested retail pricing, and even ideas (i.e. tea party, brunch, cocktail party or dinner party). You can register online [COMING SOON] or by printing and mailing us a completed registration form. Once your registration is received, we will send you the specified number of bracelets for your party.

A simple gathering with friends and family becomes a chance for people everywhere to make a difference, when you DO Ubuntu. You and your guests will be part of a real solution to a global crisis. After your DO Ubuntu Bracelet Party, tell us about it, so we can post your stories and pictures on our blog. Thank you for your invaluable participation in this important humanitarian campaign.
